Dr. Ruth Wiechmann
Dr. Wiechmann completed both her undergraduate degree and doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Illinois. She started with us in December of 2002. She has two Golden Retrievers, Tucker and Bentley and cats, Thumpkin, Gizmo, and Lily. Her areas of interest include behavior, endocrinology, and ultrasonography. Dr. Wiechmann is the doctor to see if you have pocket pets with health problems. She is involved in her church, has been on several mission trips, and also volunteers regularly. Dr. Wiechmann also loves golfing, cooking and reading.
Dr. Alice Humphrey
Dr. Humphrey started with us in 2007. She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and started volunteering at a veterinary practice when she was only 13 years old. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Murray State University, she completed her doctorate with honors in veterinary medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Humphrey's areas of interest include dermatology, surgery, ultrasound, and preventative medicine. She loves to go hiking, biking and relaxing with her rescue dog, Parker, and her two cats, Roo and Faye.
Dr. Jennie Christakos
Dr. Christakos has been with us since September 2010. She grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. While earning her bachelor's degree in biology from Drake University where she also played division I soccer. She then went on to attend the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2010. Dr. Christakos' areas of interest include dermatology, dentistry and surgery. In her free time she loves to run, travel, and spend time with her husband, daughter, son, and Labrador retriever mix named Ellie.
